35 thousand Kazakhstanis received medical treatment during the trip of trains ‘Salamatty Kazakhstan’, "Zhardem" and "Densaulyk" in 2016. Specialized trains that provide medical assistance passed across the country, covering the most remote and distant villages. Residents of rural districts were able to visit the dentist, ophthalmologist, pediatrician, cardiologist and other experts for free. And also they could pass ultrasound, x-rays and were able to get a doctor’s advice. For 133 days, highly qualified specialists have provided medical assistance to the residents of 154 stations in 13 regions of the country.

As a social project - it attracted great attention of people who live in remote pastures, villages, who can’t get high-quality medical care in their settlements. A lot of people with digestive diseases, diseases of urogenital system, gynecological, neurological, cardiac, ophthalmology addressed for help. Out of the 35 thousand people there were more than 5,000 children.

 

Schedule and route of travels of the specialists is prepared at the beginning of each half-year at the request of the chief physicians of district hospitals. The special trains that are equipped with all the necessary medical diagnostic equipment operate since 2010.

For us such visits of specialists from the regional center are very important. Very convenient for those people, who for some reason can’t leave their homes, there are elderly and people with disabilities.
