The second season of the Republican competition of business projects ‘Startup Bolashak’ was successfully launched. As the first time, young start-uppers between the ages of 18 and 29 can take part in the competition. The applications can be submitted to all regional Business Service Centres until September 23. This year’s prize fund will total 30 million tenge. The winner will receive 7 million tenge. The second season also features an additional prize fund from the United Nations Development Program. This organization provides a grant worth 15 million tenge for the implementation of a start-up in green economy. In addition, selected participants will receive consultation from the experienced Kazakh businessmen. Successful Kazakh entrepreneurs will evaluate the projects of the young start-uppers.

Apart from grants and prizes this competition gives an opportunity to receive investments from business giants who will enter the jury. The jury will not include civil servants or representatives of the quasi-public sector. They will be businessmen who achieved success and became well-known in the country. The similar project will help attract investments to new projects in the UK.
