Kazakhstan’s anti-monopoly authority has joined the Competition Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. At the last selection stage, our country won the majority of votes, leaving behind Croatia and Philippines. Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia to become the member of the OECD Competition Committee. This opens up new possibilities for adopting and implementing best practices, strengthening the integration with the most developed states. In addition, access to research and analytical materials of the OECD will make it possible to avoid mistakes and accelerate the process of reforming the system of anti-monopoly regulation in Kazakhstan. The organization includes 35 states, most of which are members of the European Union. The share of OECD member states accounts for about 60% of the global GDP.
