On July 20 "Astana" Football Club will have a match with the Lithuanian “Žalgiris” under the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Traffic in the city will be partially restricted for the period of the game. Visitors will be able to get to "Astana Arena" Stadium to witness the confrontation between the two teams by using buses, The official website of Astana city reports.


The traffic will be closed on Kabanbay Batyr and Turan avenues in the section from Kerey Zhanibek Khandar Street to Hussein bin Talal Street from 6 pm until the end of the match. Therefore, Astana residents, who are planning to go to the airport area, and residents of nearby villages are recommended to plan bypass routes in advance. The easiest option is to use Orynbor Street.


Those willing to attend the match will be able to traditionally use a special shuttle service. Buses will be available for the fans in the five sites of the city: near the parking lot at "Kazakhstan" Sport Complex, the capital's circus, Munaytpassov Stadium, "Khazret Sultan", "Nur Astana" mosques (the east side parking lot). The fare will be 90 tenge.


- It is expected that the game will be attended by a large number of people, according to our experience, ranging from 25 to 30 thousand spectators. In this regard, we will be taking a set of measures to ensure the public order and road safety. Over two thousand police officers and internal troops will be involved, - informed the Head of the Local Police Service Bakhytzhan Malybayev.


From 8.30 pm routes passing through “Astana Arena” Stadium will be also enforced: No. 10, 12, 27, 40, 43, 53, 51. In total, approximately 100 units of rolling stock of buses will be involved.
