Kazakh poultry farms intend to export their products to ten countries.  According to the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan, thanks to the growth of production, the domestic market is fully provided with eggs.  Poultry farm in Karasai district of Almaty region is one of the first in Kazakhstan, which began exporting eggs overseas as early as 2013. At first, the enterprise began to deliver products to neighboring Kyrgyzstan, gradually expanding geography by cooperation with Tajikistan, Russia, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates.

Diyar MEDEUBEKOV, DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POULTRY:

The products are quite competitive on the world market, and we plan to expand the geography of supplies to 10 countries.

Each month, about 50,000 egg laying chickens are delivered to the farm. In total there are more than 600,000 hens. In one day, they consume about 70 tons of feed. After careful checking, the eggs are sent to the packaging department.

Hank DE JAGER, EMPLOYEE OF POULTRY:

460,000 eggs per day. In the wintertime we try to produce a little bit more.

According to official figures almost five billion eggs were produced in the country last year. However, this year the number is even higher, experts say. Therefore, Kazakhstan is actively negotiating with Mongolia and Iran on the export of Kazakh products.
