The Election of Kazakhstan as an UN Security Council non-permanent member gives evidence of the growing authority of the country all over the world; moreover, it recognizes its efforts and foreign policy initiatives. This opinion was expressed by experts at an international meeting in Almaty. This meeting collected scientists and diplomats from different countries.

I will mention only a number of initiatives, which were put forward by the President of Kazakhstan Nazarbayev that works and are in demand. For example, you can see the strengthening of CICA, which is one of the leading organizations in Asia Pacific region. And I should mention about another important initiative, as SPECA. This program was created for Central Asian economies and signed by Central Asian Presidents. This initiative is supported by ESCAP and Economic and Social Commission for Europe.
