SEZs of Central Asia and China need to be integrated into a regional network
Special economic zones of Central Asia and China must be integrated into a regional network. The proposal was made on Tuesday in Astana by the representatives of the Asian Development Bank. According to representatives of the financial institution, no country can develop its special economic zones alone. It is therefore necessary to cooperate in this direction, not only between cities, but also between countries. There are 10 special economic zones in Kazakhstan, within which this year additional two dozen projects will be launched.
Almas AIDAROV, DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF KAZNEX INVEST:
In addition to 150 projects, 100 are in implementation in special economic zones, this year we hope to include 25 projects. After entering full capacity, we expect an additional 3,000 jobs. These projects are in different areas. Their total value amounts to 100 billion tenge. There is manufacturing, production of insulation materials, construction, food.
