Koksu sugar mill’s output will increase to 25, 000 tons of sugar per year due to equipment modernization. One billion tenge of investments have been allocated for this purpose. The Deputy Prime Minister and concurrently Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzahmetov visited the plant. He arrived in Almaty region the day before and had already managed to visit other enterprises in the region. The local sugar-beet growers expanded sweet root cultivation area this year up to almost six and a half thousand hectares. Now they intend to increase the volume of sugar beet production to 220,000 tons.

 

Altynbek ABATOV, DIRECTOR, KOKSU SUGAR REFINERY:

 

We are going to set up new filters TF, TF 100, which will increase the quality of filtration. After modernization and full automation of the plant, we have to achieve the processing of up to 2 million tons of sugar beet per day.
