Kazakh government may redistribute the funds allocated as part of Nurly Zhol program. The Prime Minister Karim Massimov instructed the Minister of national economy to prepare proposals this week, and the next - the regions unable to utilize the funds will be likely to lose them in favor of feasible projects. According to the Ministry, only about 12% out of 840 billion tenge allocated under Nurly Zhol program have been utilized since the beginning of this year.
Karim MASSIMOV, PRIME MINISTER OF KAZAKHSTAN:
Despite of encouraging reports I doubt that all the regions will be able to utilize all the necessary resources given as part of this program. Therefore I instruct the Ministry of National economy to make proposals this week and next week on Tuesday we will reconsider the funds allocation for those who failed to invest them and give them to those who do that better.
Nurly zhol program offers support to national economy at the expense of investment projects implementation. Creation of hundreds of thousands of new jobs and growth of national economy even in the harsh period of global economic stagnation is the merit of Nurly Zhol program.
