The center of Modernization of Public Consciousness opened in the park ‘Zhastar’ in Taldykorgan
The center of Modernization of Public Consciousness opened in the park ‘Zhastar’ in Taldykorgan. The building has the shape of the Kazakh yurt. There are offices, museum halls and a conference hall in the center. Historians, philologists and geographers will work with the project office staff on creation and systematization of data on Modernization of Public Consciousness program. They have already elaborated 325 projects.
AYLIN SHYNASYLOVA, CHIEF MANAGER, REGIONAL CENTER MODERNIZATION OF PUBLIC CONSCIOUSNESS:
- We have developed 59 projects as part of the program ‘Education and knowledge’, 39 projects as part of ‘Spiritual heritage’ program, and 119 projects as part of ‘Atameken’ program.
Students of Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University have developed 42 scientific projects. They have actively participated in preparation of the Sacral Map of Almaty region in three languages. The new subject Modernization of Public Consciousness was included in the university’s curriculum. The center is planning to organize master classes of the leading journalists and bloggers, book fairs, and expeditions to Zhetysu. The center’s staff is planning to develop new tourist routs, mobile applications for travelers and press tours.
The same center is planned to be opened in Kyzylorda. The new site is located on the left bank of the Syr Darya River. The facility will be built according to the design of Kazakhstan’s Central Executive Committee building, where the government’s headquarters located in 1925. According to experts, the old drawings have been found in the archives. 137 million tenge was allocated for the construction of the center from the regional budget this year. The building is planned to be commissioned before the end of 2018.

- Construction of the Modernization of Public Consciousness center in Kyzylorda is very important from a historical point of view because the country's leadership was residing here in 1925 and the Alash Orda movement’s activists made historic decisions here, such as decrees on the return of the name and so on. That's why it's very important to build this center here.
