Transition to the Latin script is an important and strategic step for Kazakhstan. This is a timely measure. The reform will allow preserving all the peculiarities of the Kazakh language and will facilitate successful integration into the world space with new technologies, science and knowledge, according to Kenshilik Tyshkhanuly, the head of department of Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

- It is good to see that experts and scientists are involved in the discussion of the alphabet reform. Requirements of science and technology have changed. We everyone understands that the Kazakh language should not suffer first of all. It will be better if the alphabet is understandable.
Transition to the Latin script will help to preserve the originality and uniqueness of the Kazakh sound system. According to experts, the new alphabet will be easy to learn, if the Latin script is introduced gradually, if banners and texts slowly appear in the mass media.
