Uzbek scientists support Kazakhstan’s initiative to transit to the Latin script. According to the linguists, this will serve as a basis for rapprochement not only with fraternal Turkic peoples, but also with other countries. The neighboring republic has a similar experience. They adopted the Latin script of 29 letters, which convey all the features of the sound system. The alphabet meets the requirements of modern technologies and does not create difficulties when typing texts on a computer.

BERDAK YUSSUPOV, LINGUIST, UZBEKISTAN:

 - Transition to the Latin script is the path to world civilization and the global communication system. This means that the country will become closer to the world community. Secondly, the Latin brings the Turkic peoples closer. Therefore, I sincerely congratulate Kazakhstan citizens on their transition to the Latin script and wish them success.

The return of the Kazakh language to the Latin script will bring the new generation of Kazakhstanis closer to the world of technology, and simplify the understanding of English and the process of education. According to Andrea Gianotti, director of the Institute for Eurasian Studies in Italy, transition to the Latin script is certainly a sign of strengthening Kazakhstan's identity and demonstrates the country's development.

ANDREA GIANNOTTI, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ITALIAN INSTITUTE OF EURASIAN STUDIES:

 - It is closely connected with the Internet. The Latin script is a fundamental linguistic element of technological progress, the script of technology. Therefore, the introduction of new script in the Kazakh language is quite understandable from this point of view.
