Xi'an International University in China opened a new department of Kazakh Studies
The Xi'an International University in China opened a new department of Kazakh Studies. This is the fourth organization specializing in Kazakh studies in China.
At the opening ceremony of the department, Kazakh Ambassador to China Shahrat Nuryshev highlighted the growth of interest in China in the Kazakh language, culture, history and the Kazakh way of development. The ambassador also introduced guests to reforms in politics, economy and religion in Kazakhstan. The dean of Xi'an International University noted that the opening of the department of Kazakh Studies will play a key role in strengthening cooperation between the states in education as well as in the near future will become an important platform of training specialists in the Kazakh language. 20 Chinese students have started theirs studies in the department.

- This is the fourth center specializing in Kazakh studies in China. I think that we need such centers. At the opening, we introduced participants to political, economic and cultural reforms in Kazakhstan, particularly, the transition to the Latin alphabet and measures to modernize public consciousness.
