Digital technologies are actively being used in all areas of Kazakhstan’s economy
Digital technologies are actively being used in all areas of Kazakhstan’s economy. No exception is placed on the agro-industrial sector as well. For example, the automation of workflow has significantly increased the production volumes at a dairy farm in Ordabasy district in Turkestan region. The daily milk production of Holstein cows imported from Hungary has reached 10,000 tonnes. The milk was taken from 400 out of 900 cows. On average, one automated milking process is able to be performed on over 60 cows thrice a day.
ABYLAI ABISHEV, DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF COMPANY:
- The difference between these robots is that they are very cheap. Old robots milked one cow for seven to eight minutes, and new ones finish it in five minutes. Now one robot can handle not 60 but 70 cows. We placed these two robots in the 4th courtyard. In the future, we plan to build 5-6 yards, as the number of cows is growing every year.
The equipment replaced not only milkers but the robots also perform the work of shepherds. The mechanism collects feed and hay and even cleans the stall. In addition, the proper nutrition of cows is monitored. Only this farm has a similar 600 kilograms weighing device. 50 tonnes of milk are processed per day. Natural yoghurt, sour cream, kurt and even cheese are made from the milk. Most importantly, the final products are completely natural. There are further plans of developing the plant’s production.
NURSULTAN ZHOLZHANOV, DIRECTOR, QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT:
- We plan to expand production. We want to open a microbiological department. This would make our work easier. We are also thinking of producing our own starter cultures. This will improve the quality of our products and significantly reduce the cost.
A beef stew production plant will be built in the future. The company's management said the main goal is to focus on the quality of products.
