Digital transformantion in Kostanay region

“Smart” technologies are massively implemented in In Kazakhstan. As part of the digital transformation roadmap there are plans to implement 77 IT projects in Kostanay region. They will be implemented in various spheres but special attention is paid to agriculture. This year “smart” cattle farms will be established in the region. Moreover, there are plans to introduce the system of precision agriculture.

DARKHAN ABDIKARIMOV, HEAD, KOSTANAY REGION AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT:

 - The holding has planned to allocate 200 million tenge of own funds for Digital transformation. These funds will be aimed at purchasing another drone, ear tags for cattle, tracking devices for livestock on farms, video surveillance equipment to monitor the maintenance conditions of livestock at feedlots, weighing equipment for weight gain analysis.

Many enterprises started introducing new technologies several years ago. And today they get the real profit. Particularly, reduced expenses, increased labor efficiency and products’ high quality inspire enterprises for further introduction of new technologies.    

TIMUR SADYKOV, HEAD OF ENTERPRISE:

- All our processes are automated. It includes charging raw materials and output of end products, its promotion, accounting, control, calculation. That’s why at this stage we already have substantial economy and reduction of funds. 

The Digital transformation roadmap has affected health care as well. By the end of 2018, 93 percent of healthcare facilities in the region will get internet access. And the new electronic medical records will substantially facilitate and accelerate access to patient data.

- Previously we had thick medical records that we carried with us. And now with the help of new technologies and the state program as well as the allocated funds we want to trasfer to electronic medical records till the end of the year.

Kostanay region has entered the list of pilot regions where technological innovations will be applied. In developing new ideas, specialists will rely on European experience. Local engineers will be assisted by IT specialists from Italy.
