Modernization at the Kostanai automotive assembly plant is finished. Technical re-equipment allowed improving the quality of products and increasing the share of Kazakhstan's content. Today the bulk of the production is automated and robotic at the enterprise. The first smart machines appeared in the welding and painting shops five years ago. The machines perform tasks accurately and effectively. Every second, robotic complexes deliver a large stream of information data. Thanks to the automated process, 36% of Kazakhstan’s content is provided. In 2017, the plant produced about 6000 cars. This year it is planned to increase these figures.

SERGEI MOGILATOV, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, AUTOMOTIVE PLANT:

- The goal of the second stage is the analysis of data from production as well as auxiliary processes. The next goal is the automation of logistics and supply processes. Thus, we will allow not only digitizing production indicators, but also indicators of secondary and auxiliary processes.

The Industrial Internet was introduced at the Karagandy plant for recycling old cars. Experts of the largest enterprise say that this will allow the equipment to work without downtime. The auto-choke processing company worth 3 billion 400 million tenge was launched last year. Currently, the company can switch to full capacity and process 50,000 old cars a year. The Karagandy plant has no analogues in Central Asia.

AZIMZHAN OSPANOV, MANAGING DIRECTOR, KARAGANDY CAR RECYCLING PLANT:

- This is an industrial Internet, which allows us to be online with suppliers to detect and troubleshoot.

The automated control system is installed the three shops of the Karagandy recycling plant, specifically, shredder, melting and pyrolysis. In order to fully master the management system, foreign specialists train workers. Operators can contact the equipment suppliers in Italy, China and Ukraine.

PYOTR KOVALYOV, HEAD, PRODUCTION SHOP:

We observe the entire process on this screen: reactor heating, furnace fuel emission and the pressure of the combustible gas. Each reactor is controlled separately.

Today, the Karagandy plant can produce 22,000 tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metal, nearly 2.5 tonnes of synthesis gas and 16,000 tonnes of pyrolysis fuel.
