Digital technologies are transforming manufacturing letting increase the quality of products and speed up the workflow. Pavlodar car assembly plant uses new metal working machines and high-tech equipment, which allows creating complex drawings. High accuracy plasma cutting is also used at the plant. New equipment worth $80,000 allows processing metal, aluminum and steel.

NIKOLAY ZINCHENKO, HEAD OF WORKSHOP:

 - The equipment simplifies the work of the gas cutter. He only has to build up the cutters and the rest of the work is done by the machine. It improves working conditions. Workers don’t have to do much. Flame cutting is done twice faster.

The most complex cutting is performed in this shop. These are important car parts. Heavy trucks which can carry up to 140 tonnes of cargo are assembled here. There are no analogues of such production in Kazakhstan yet.

VLADIMIR NECHITAILO, PLANT’S DEPUTY DIRECTOR:

-  Investments for 2017 are almost fully utilized. 80 million tenge have been allocated as part of the investment program for 2017. The program for 2018 has been developed. We are planning to introduce some more new equipment in the manufacturing in order to increase the plant’s capacity.

This year, the plant manufactured vehicles worth 5 billion tenge. It is 20% higher than last year. It used to take four months to assemble one car. New equipment speeds up the process.

VLADIMIR NECHITAILO, PLANT’S DEPUTY DIRECTOR:

 - This metallurgical pouring bridge crane is almost done. Its carrying capacity is 20 tonnes.

The plant receives orders. The assortment is quite wide. We have started new projects here. We have received an order from one of the Russian electric power stations to assemble a 30 meters high crane, weighing 800 tons and with a length of 100 meters.
