Ukrainian entrepreneurs intend to fight for the Kazakhstan market of green energy. As part of Astana EXPO 2017 they visited the country’s largest wind farm, Ereymentau. The farm is located one hundred and fifty kilometers from Astana. 22 turbines have already generated 300 million kilowatt-hours of energy. Further, the project will be extended until 2020, the park is planned to increase to 130 units.

The Ereymentau wind turbines of the last generation are built according to uncomfortable climatic conditions. For example, the generators had to be placed underground to ensure a stable operating temperature. Whereas, metal structures are made of reinforcing steel at 40 degrees below zero in case of windstorm.

- Perhaps, it was possible to build this park, it was possible to transfer these hundreds of tons of metal, it was possible to mount it, to integrate into the energy system only because people worked here. A very good team of Kazakhs, Ukrainians and Germans is established. This park has united the best human qualities.

The place that is chosen for the park is the most suitable one. as experts say, The average wind speed is 8 meters per second which allows to receive a stable energy product.

- In the future, we propose to transgress the second stage together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and with the Clean Technologies Fund. This means it's another 50 megawatts. In general, it is expected to expand up to 300 megawatts in the future. 300 megawatts give 1 billion kilowatt-hours of electric energy per year.

The project is promising and the payback period is only 7 years. Therefore, many people are willing to take part in it. The Chinese and Russian companies have already shown their potential to Ukrainian industrialists. However, the Kazakh side assures that choosing the best supplier of wind traps will be through an open tender.
