Kazakhstan is systematically moving towards green economy. According to the member of the presidium of the Association of Ecological Organizations of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Rakhimbekova, the development of the renewables in the regions will give an impetus to the International Center of Green Technologies. The newly opened center will provide the necessary financial and expert support to green projects. Advanced technologies will become more accessible to business. The center will conduct educational seminars in green innovations. 105 projects presented at Astana EXPO 2017 will be implemented in the republic.

SALTANAT RAKHIMBEKOVA, MEMBER OF PRESIDIUM, ASSOCIATION OF ECOLOGICAL ORGANIZATIONS OF KAZAKHSTAN:

-It is very important to create incentives for green business like subsidized loans and other types of subsidies. The businessmen can adopt technologies and ensure their businesses are profitable. Therefore, the International Center of Green Technologies, which the President spoke about in 2015 at the 70th UN General Assembly, should be created based on the expo infrastructure. Well, this has already been done. We are planning to make sure our technologies are up to date and our expertise evolves.
