Women from all over the world flock to EXPO 2017. Astana hosted the international forum "Women for the future energy". More than 300 participants from 25 countries spoke about their role and contribution in promoting "green" economy ideas.

SALTANAT RAKHIMBEKOVA, DIRECTOR, EXPO & WOMEN:

 - EXPO is a demonstration of various solutions for the problems mankind is facing. In this case, climate issues will be the most pressing in the next hundred years. Therefore, we will need technologies that will help to combat climate change, reduce emissions, and increase the share of renewables. It's great that this topic was raised in Astana EXPO 2017. Our EXPO demonstrates that it is possible to effectively switch to a "green" economy.

The forum resulted in signing the Resolution. The document urges international society to follow international principles on preserving the environment. The Resolution’s provisions will help to tackle climate change and foster the transition to green economy.

NATALYA KOCHANOVA, HEAD OF BELARUS PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATION:

 - I think that women can make a significant contribution to the preservation of the resources that we have. Therefore, I think that the adopted resolution will let women unite and combine their efforts in solving the issues facing every nation and every person.
