As part of Future Energy forum, Astana hosted the seventh conference under the theme of ‘Energy for all. Challenges of the New Time’. Leading Kazakh and international experts in energy efficiency discussed cooperation issues, microfinance models, and initiatives in low-carbon technologies. The experts also spoke about how to make progress in ensuring energy security. Participants highlighted that today everyone can access energy thanks to modern autonomous and modular power systems based on renewables. According to the results of the 12th series of the Future Energy forum, the participants will develop the manifesto of principles and values of Astana EXPO 2017, where the main recommendations of experts will be concluded.

KANAT BAIGARIN, VICE PRESIDENT ON INNOVATIONS AND SCIENCE, NAZARBAYEV UNIVERSITY:

- By the end of this month, we will present some conceptual parts of this manifesto. The manifesto will consist of an international part and national problems. The most important is to create a business environment for transferring advanced technologies from the possessing countries to the countries that lack energy. This is a very important model.
