The Astana Ballet has performed in Monaco

Kazakh artists continue to fascinate audiences worldwide. The Astana Ballet has performed in Monaco. The young team performed on the stage of Grimaldi Forum.

DILARA SHOMAYEVA, LEADING SOLOIST, ASTANA BALLET:

 - For the first time, the artists of Astana Ballet performed in this beautiful Grimaldi Forum in the very centre of Monte Carlo. We are very excited to perform here. We are happy to present our famous program titled Astana Ballet Gala, which we have presented to the public in Europe, America, Russia and, of course, Kazakhstan.

The program consists of three parts, such as the chamber performance ‘Love.Fear.Loss’ that consists of three duets, the traditional style ballet, the Heritage of the Great Steppe and one-act neoclassical ballet, A Fuego Lento. The excitement of the audience after the show proves the successful performance of our artists.

SIMONE MICHELE DREYFUSS, SPECTATOR:

 - Through the scenography, we could imagine this fantastic world and attachment to nature because each ballet was coming out from colours, from the sky, the snow, the flowers and the costumes and the atmosphere and the music. I really couldn’t stop moving my feet under the seat. It was incredible.

FRANS NORMALFONDS, SPECTATOR:

 - You know what I like is there is so much folklore and the change of clothes and everything is glittering and glamour and this also from your country that is why I like. That is the beauty.

Monaco hosts the performances of the famous theatrical and ballet companies. Critics and spectators highly appreciated the performances of ‘Astana Ballet Gala.’ The final applause continued even after the curtain had fallen.

DIDIER LAMBETLET, DIRECTOR FOR INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS:

 - This is not the first time I was there in the performance in Paris in February or March. I really discovered and I love the company. The dances are wonderful and we are very happy that it is here in Monaco.

The tour of Astana Ballet took place as part of the ‘Modern Kazakh Culture in the Global World’ program.
