100 Holy Places of Kazakhstan: Baizak Batyr mausoleum
The Baizak Batyr mausoleum in the Zhambyl region joined the list of 100 Holy Places of Kazakhstan. A famous warrior took part in a war between Kazakhs and the Kokand Khanate. Today, his mausoleum attracts the attention of many tourists. In return, local entrepreneurs are developing an infrastructure at the mausoleum area. The road has been built while electricity, water supply and a fence have also been installed. More than 30 million Tenge were allocated for the infrastructural project. In addition, works are being conducted on improvements and planting of greenery.

- A lot of work is being continued. We plan to build a large alcove so visitors can rest there. We also intend to plant fruits and ornamental trees as well as construct the asphalt road. After the completion of the whole work, tourists can visit the Baizak Batyr mausoleum which will become even more attractive.
