Exhibitions dedicated to Kazakhstan’s Constitution Day in all the regions

Exhibitions dedicated to Kazakhstan’s Constitution Day are held in all the regions of Kazakhstan. An exhibition titled ‘Karaganda in Portraits and Landscapes’ opened in Karaganda. It features more than 50 paintings of 40 well-known artists. According to art experts, the cultural exhibition reflects the major historical milestones of the city ranging from the discovery of the ‘sunstone’ in 1833 to the pictures of modern monuments and buildings.

ALEXANDER GEKHT, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS:

 - The exposition represents various dimensions of Karaganda, including industrial, architecture, research and cultural aspects. The city is imaged in different capacities. Every painting has its own image because every artist is individualistic in his attitude towards the home city. The artists expressed love and special admiration of the city in their paintings.

A local history museum of Stepnogorsk in Akmola region offers an exciting trip to the industrial world. A hall dedicated to the history of staff working at large plants and factories has gained popularity in just one month. The exposition is represented by 13 enterprises, including their products, models of their facilities, portraits of their staff members and awards. Various types of metal, including precious ores, are also among the exhibits. The collection is planned to be expanded in the near future.

MAIRA NURZHANOVA, HEAD, LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM:

 - The exposition is represented mostly by enterprises that are fundamental to our city, our region and the republic as well. The products of these enterprises are well known in the region and the neighbouring countries and beyond as well. So many people visited the exposition. They were surprised that these enterprises are still operational because their parents worked there.
