Famous artists Galym Madanov and Zauresh Terekbay opened their exhibition titled ‘Cool Age’ in Astana. In their extraordinary exposition, the creators were seeking answers for the question ‘What is trending in the modern age of computer technologies?’ Each of the 60 presented works is a collage of several genres. The collection represents magazine clippings, photographs, paintings and videos, reflecting the new era. According to the artists, this is the age of continuous flow of information and virtual reality.

GALYM MADANOV, ARTIST:

- We are currently living in the age of mass media and the Internet, therefore, we decided to go away from the conventional format. We are living a collage time, when everything is changing quickly. There are lots of layers, lots of new spaces.

ZAURESH TEREKBAY, ARTIST:

- We take pictures of the people and the city as it changes. We collect information from magazines, booklets and advertisements. We use them to create collages and images that reflect the time that we are living in.

Galym Madanov and Zauresh Terekbay started collaborating in 1995. This is their second joint exhibition in Kazakhstan. They have presented over 200 expositions abroad. They presented Kazakh modern art in countries such as Turkey, Israel, France, Germany, England, Austria, Switzerland, the United States of America and many others.
