Scientists of the Central Asian countries intend to conduct joint research of the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples. They plan to continue the archaeological excavations of ancient fortifications located along the Great Silk Road. experts are going to start searching the evidence of the medieval era civilization from Uzbekistan’s ancient settlements. According to researchers, artifacts, which will reveal many unsolved mysteries of the time, are hidden in the ruins of fortifications. The expedition "From Sairan to Samarkand" will start this Spring.

DARKHAN KYDYRALI, PRESIDENT, TURKSOY ACADEMY:

 - The grave of Zhalantos batyr and the burials of Aiteke bi and Tole bi are located in Samarkand, in Nurata. We try to explore not only the historical past of the Kazakh people, but also to find common ground with the ancient history of our fraternal peoples. As part of the special program, we plan to explore the areas of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

In addition to archaeological excavations of ancient settlements belonging to the ancient Turkic era, scientists plan to conduct research on the literary heritage of the region’s peoples. According to the International Turkic Academy, the study of ethnographic features, life and traditions will be the main focus.

DARKHAN KYDYRALI, PRESIDENT, TURKSOY ACADEMY:

 - We plan to study in detail the ancient letters, manuscripts and coins in order to make an original review of the Turkic civilization and the cities of the Great Silk Road. We intend to publish the results of the surveys in the publications and present them to the general public. The study of historical, natural and cultural monuments of Central Asia will take place as part of the Modernization of Public Consciousness program initiated by Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.

The Academy sets great goals for the popularization of the Turkic heritage in the world. The international organization plans to hold a forum in April at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris dedicated to the topics and prospects of the development of the Turkic languages.
