Gogol’s “The Inspector General” staged in Kazakh

The immortal comedy by Nikolai Gogol "The Inspector General" is in Aktobe. The regional drama theater named after Takhaui Akhtanov has premiered the popular play in a modern interpretation and in the Kazakh language. The production was authored by theater director from Almaty Zhuldyzbek Zhumanbaev. Honored artists of Kazakhstan and young actors of the theater are involved in the performance. The main roles in the production are performed by well-known culture figures Bolat Abdilmanov and Aigul Imanbaeva. As noted by the organizers, a joint project of Almaty actors and their Aktobe colleagues is aimed to promote acting and strengthen cooperation in the art world. Earlier the performance was premiered in Astana, Almaty and Semey with a big success.

 - We invited eminent actors to the master class, but they simply could not pass on their invaluable experience to our youth in just a couple of days. Therefore, we invited them to play with our troupe in the joint play "The Inspector General". Rehearsals lasted 10-15 days. I think that the experiment was an absolute success, and the audience appreciated the joint work.
