Astana Ballet is preparing to stage Salome by Oscar Wilde. Love and temptation, the passion and desire closely intertwined in the biblical legend of Salome. The play of the Irish playwright formed the basis of the play of the same name. This is the story of a young princess. The militant and beautiful female creation seduces with her dance. This ballet fascinates with its bright, expressive and unusual plasticity, the chief choreographer Mukaram Avahri says. As the choreographer and the author of the artistic concept noted, the actors of the theater are given freedom of improvisation. In addition, a one-act ballet "Gaia" by choreographer Ricardo Amarante is scheduled to be shown in the first part. A beautiful story about the fight and unity of the five elements of nature will be shown on stage.

FARKHAD BURIYEV, LEADING SOLOIST:

 - Every artist can express his or her state and understanding in free flow choreography. It is not constrained by modern or postmodern. There is some space for improvisation so an artist could convey the emotions.

VALERY KUZEMBAYEV, DIRECTOR, ASTANA BALLET:

 - We are planning to stage some other performances after Salome. I will not tell which ones. We will cooperate with American choreographer Nicolo Conte. We are planning to perform in Kyzylorda, Aktau, Taldykorgan and Almaty. We will tour abroad to mark the 20th anniversary of Astana.
