The 65 Kazakh folk instruments were presented at the exhibition in the regional museum of Atyrau. The exposition showed the external evolution of dombyra and the features of its production. The exhibition displayed not only the history of the instrument but also the history of the Caspian region which connected with the fates of the famous kuishi, Kurmangazy and Dina Nurpeisova.

Every copy is unique and has its own amazing history. The dombyra was considered to be the most necessary thing in the life of Kazakhs. The Domybra Center will be opened as a continuation of the exhibition.

 - Dombyra is one of the world’s most ancient musical instruments. The engraved rock with the dombyra’s image is 4000 years old which belongs to the Neolithic Period.

The instruments that belonged to Karshyga Akhmedyarov, Nurgisa Tlendiev and Makhambet Utemisov are of special interest. Dina Nurpeisova's dombyra take a special place in the collection.

 - Dina Nurpeisova’s dombyra is the pride of our collection of musical instruments. By accompanying with this dombyra, she performed her kuis, specifically, Bulbul, Toibastar, Baizhuma and Asemkonyr.

The students from the Uralsk school for gifted children conducted a flash mob, ‘Dombyra Party.’

The orchestra of the dombyra players includes 35 students. They participate in many competitions, but this is their first public performance dedicated to the townspeople. Young musicians devoted their concert to the Modernization of Public Consciousness project.

 - Our children won many competitions. They returned from the ‘Christmas Stars’ contest, which was held in Moscow. Our orchestra of folk instruments named ‘Atamura’ took second place there. The most important thing is that the Kazakh dombyra is known all over the world and our kuis earn love of the people.
