The Israeli embassy in Kazakhstan announced the launch of the Algys project
The Israeli embassy in Kazakhstan announced the launch of the Algys project. The campaign will mark the Gratitude Day which Kazakhstan celebrates March 1, and the 70th anniversary of independence of Israel. During the 1930-1940s Holocaust and mass immigration of Jewish refugees from Germans which were difficult for the Jews, the Kazakh people helped them. Israelis still remember and are grateful for the kindness and hospitality of the Kazakh people.
MICHAEL BRODSKY, ISRAELI AMBASSADOR TO KAZAKHSTAN:
- Today, relations between Israel and Kazakhstan are friendly and most importantly, our nations closely interact with each other in a friendly manner.
The contest organizers offered Kazakhs to tell stories about friendship, humanity and help. The deadline for application submission is February 25th.
DINA MARGANOVA, PRESS SECRETARY, ISRAELI EMBASSY IN KAZAKHSTAN:
- We would like to see different types and forms of stories that will be sent to us. It can be a video file or an audio story, a photo report or a text.
The Israeli embassy intends to announce the results of the contest on the Gratitude Day, March 1. The author of the most interesting story will be granted a special prize.
