From baroque to rock
A concert was held in the Astana Opera featuring music from the ancient baroque to the 20th century rock songs. The symphonic orchestra led by honored worker of Kazakhstan Abzal Mukhitdinov performed in the Main Hall. The audience enjoyed a masterpiece by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov the poem "Scheherezade" inspired by "Thousand and One Nights". The sensual musical tale took the audience to the magical and mysterious world of the Arab East. The concert also featured the "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzolla. Solo parts were performed by well-known Kazakh musicians.

- The concert program is very diverse. Today’s concert features the works of three centuries: the era of baroque. This is Vivaldi’s "Four Seasons", four concerts for violin and orchestra, “Concerto No. 4 for a French horn with an orchestra” by Mozart performed by Marat Konusbayev. There will be a little play named "Tango", a duet, from the movie "The Scent of a Woman", music by Carlos Gardel.
The concert ended with the lively performance of rock songs such as «The Comets» by «Queen». Astana Opera symphonic orchestra has once mesmerized its audience.
