The Alexander Solzhenitsyn Memorial House of the Russian Abroad donated 300 books to the library of the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University (KazGUU). The books include Russian fiction, dictionaries, textbooks and publications in history, philosophy and art. According to the coordinator of International European projects at Solzhenitsyn's House, Svetlana Romanova, donated books will replenish the library and become the symbols of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.

SVETLANA ROMANOVA, PROJECT COORDINATOR, ALEXANDER SOLZHENITSYN MEMORIAL HOUSE OF RUSSIAN ABROAD:

- Knowing the neighboring country’s culture and history is very important for mutual understanding and strengthening of the dialogue. If we know each other better, we understand each other better which results in better mutual interaction and improvement in economic, legal and foreign policies. Therefore, culture is the basis of everything.

The university administration plans to locate the new books into a separate room. Not only students but also residents of the capital will have access to the books.
