The fund of the National Library added a unique publication. A corner of the Macedonian literature was opened as part of the project Days of Macedonian Culture in Kazakhstan. It includes 135 volumes of works of various genres in Macedonian, English, Turkish and other languages. Books were donated by the National and St.Clement Ohridski libraries in Skopje. According to the Macedonian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, the opening of the corner is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence, which the Balkan states will celebrate tomorrow.

Ilija PSALTIROV, AMBASSADOR OF MACEDONIA IN KAZAKHSTAN:

Few people know that the Cyrillic alphabet was created in Macedonia in the city of Ohrid. It was created by Clement of Ohrid, the National Library was named after him, he was a disciple of Cyril and Methodius. We are very happy to share our collection of books with Kazakhstan that uses Cyrillic alphabet. We will be happy if Kazakhstan will be interested in the Macedonian literature.
