The history of Kazakhstan is described in paintings. The exhibition ‘History of the Great Steppe’ was opened at the National Museum. There are 40 paintings created by professors and undergraduates of the Faculty of Arts of the Yasawi Kazakh-Turkish University. The pictures show the epoch-making events that occurred on the territory of Kazakhstan; from the 5,000 BC to the present day. Separate section of the exhibition is devoted to portraits of historical figures, such as Khans, soldiers and warriors.

To draw on historical theme is always a time-consuming process. I consulted with archeologists and historians before the starting of drawing. Almost every stage of the work wasn’t conducted without their advice.
