OLZHAS BERKINBAEV, HEAD OF INTERNET PROJECT ‘HISTORY OF KAZAKHSTAN’, KAZKONTENT:

 - Kazakh President’s program article "Course towards the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness" was published last year. It raised the theme of the motherland. The World Kurultai (meeting) of Kazakhs will be held soon, and will bring together our compatriots from 40 countries. All these topics are connected. Our main goal is to show the life of the Kazakhs living far away from their homeland.

Before arriving in Uzbekistan, the film crew visited many countries as part of Modernization of Public Consciousness program in order to collect necessary information. They have been to China, Hungary, Russia and Mongolia, visited the mausoleum of Kurmangazy in Astrakhan. The researchers have found interesting facts in the Kazakh museum in China.

OLZHAS BERKINBAEV, HEAD OF INTERNET PROJECT ‘HISTORY OF KAZAKHSTAN’, KAZKONTENT:

 - In the Chinese city of Barkol we visited a large 3-storey museum of Kazakh culture. We have seen the feathering of a large griffin for the first time there. The local people used the skin of this huge predatory bird as outerwear to warm themselves on cold days. The second thing that impressed me was the dombra made from a sandstick - chiy. There are certain differences between the Kazakhs living in Hungary and China, for example, different language dialects.

The film, which tells about the life of the Kazakhs living abroad, will consist of eight episodes. The documentary project will include the most interesting facts. Now the film crew is preparing for a trip to Tajikistan. Researchers believe they will find a lot of interesting information for the audience there.
