Superheroes, knights, mutants and other characters of popular comics and films gathered these days in San Diego, California as world’s largest festival Comic-Con kicked off. It brought together fans of fantasy, science fiction and anime.

Lee THOMAS, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANT:

We are all here because we have natural adoration for something nerdy and great. And we can just celebrate with other people from all over the world. It is kind of magical.

Visitors are trying out new computer games from all over the world, they wil laos have the chance to watch the premieres of science fiction movies – like new part of the ‘Star Trek Beyond’ or Harry Potter’s spinoff ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. But the main entertainment is communication. Everyone tries to surprise people with their costumes inspired by favorite comics or movies.

Nagita SOLSBERRY, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANT:

This is my eighth comic-con actually. I don’t know, something addictive about just putting costumes together and coming here and being with my fellow nerds.

Em BLACKMAN, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANT:

It is really enjoyable. Really creative. I handmade costumes. It is really especial part of the community. It needs to come and experience that.

In four days, more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the festival.
