Kyrgyzstan: Export potential
Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union is growing, according to the data provided by the Kyrgyz National Statistics Committee. Over the past six months, Kyrgyzstan’s trade with the EAEU member countries totaled US$2.7 billion. Textile manufacturing and supply of agricultural goods are among the most profitable trade fields. The largest share of mutual trade is attributed to Russia and Kazakhstan.

- We see export growth in trade with Russia; exports grew for such as knitted blouses, cotton fiber, knitted shirts for men and dried fruits. In terms of import of goods from Kazakhstan, tobacco goods, concrete, sunflower oil and wheat flour are the most frequently imported items.
According to the data, provided by the Kyrgyz national statistics committee, the volume of gross domestic product totaled 214 billion som over the past six months. Experts forecast more growth before the end of the year.

- The delayed arrival of spring impacted the slowdown of the growth rates. Therefore, production of agricultural goods is just gaining momentum.
According to the statistics committee, six months is just an intermediate term. Final results of the economic growth will be analyzed at the end of the year. The volume of trade with the EAEU member countries is expected to be higher.
