Uzbek and Turkmen governments are planning to boost mutual trade to five hundred million dollars by 2020, Uz Daily news agency reports. In 2017, trade between the two countries exceeded 177 million dollars. Mutual trade grew 55% in the first quarter of the year. The countries are set to cooperate in information and communication technologies, agricultural and logistics sector. The Turkmen government officials also offered their Uzbek colleagues to consider using the port infrastructure on the Caspian Sea shore to deliver their goods to the European and Middle Eastern markets as well as the Black Sea region and the Mediterranean countries.

The cooperation between Tajik and Uzbek entrepreneurs are strengthening and they have signed contracts for the supply of goods and services, totaling 104 million dollars. CA-News agency also reports that the business leaders have signed cooperation agreements during a business forum held in Samarkand. Its main goal is strengthening cooperation among the entrepreneurs of the Sughd and Samarkand regions.

Turkmenistan will participate in EXPO 2020 in Dubai. Preparations are currently underway in Turkmenistan for participation in the world expo.
