Kazakh products are in great demand overseas

Kazakh products are in great demand overseas. The locally-made goods have become popular, including in the neighbouring Russian market, due to the best price and quality. Four Kazakh trading pavilions were opened in Omsk in the autumn of last year. Nearly 20 companies sold about 1,000 items of provisions. The products were manufactured by companies in North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Almaty regions.

VERA TSODIKOVICH, TRADE AND SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATOR IN RUSSIA:

 - Deliveries are held twice a week, particularly, on Wednesday and Friday. Products are sold because they are of good quality, organic and very tasty. Customers come for delicacies such as kazy, shuzhyk, sur yet, kumis, Kurt and kospa.

The assortment of Kazakh products is very wide. Nearly 1,000 items are offered. All of the products fully comply with requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Aleksander Trishkin is a regular customer at the Kazakh store. His family likes goods from Kazakhstan.

 - We buy sour cream and sausages. This is why we go to this store.

Residents of Omsk buy Kazakh sweets, as well. More than 100 customers visit the store per day.

OLESYA REZNICHENKOVA, CUSTOMER:

 - We buy sweets and chocolate. Children are very fond of caramel. In general, we like Kazakh products very much.

The trade turnover between the border regions of Kazakhstan and Russia exceeded 25 billion Tenge only in the first quarter. An additional eight Kazakh commercial pavilions will be opened in Omsk.
