Export of Kazakh gas

Kazakhstan has increased the export of liquefied gas to Ukraine eleven times. Propane-butane of domestic production is becoming widespread in the Ukrainian market. During the first five months of this year, approximately 88,000 tonnes of fuel were exported to Ukraine. Market participants are confident that the volume of exports will grow. Experts also highlight the availability, affordable prices and quality of Kazakhstan's fuel.

STANISLAV BATRACHENKO, MEMBER, EUROPEAN LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS ASSOCIATION:

 - Last year, thanks to Kazakh producers we are no longer in deficit of liquefied gas in Ukraine. This year, we are increasing the volume of supply of the Kazakh resource. This is very important for us. We are pleased that Kazakh producers are satisfied with our price, and we are satisfied with the quantity and quality of gas produced by them.

According to Ukrainian analysts, Ukraine will import a record volume of Kazakh gas in 2018.

IVAN KUDINOV, ANALYST, UKRAINIAN CONSULTING COMPANY:

 - In comparison to the same period last year, the supply of Kazakhstan's liquefied gas increased by 11 times. The Kazakh producers increased shipments of liquefied gas to the largest Ukrainian traders under direct contracts. According to our forecasts, the share of Kazakh suppliers will increase, and in 2018 we forecast that total supplies from Kazakhstan will exceed 200, 000 tonnes.

Experts of the oil market highlight that today Kazakhstan makes up 17% of the Ukrainian gas imports. By the end of this year, the share might increase to 20%.
