The inflow of direct foreign investments in Kazakhstan has exceeded $250 billion over the past 12 years. Last year, foreign investment in the republic’s economy increased by 40%, amounting to about $20 billion. According to international experts, such dynamics is connected with the creation of a favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan. The volume of involved funds made up $10 billion in the first half of 2017. This was reported by Vice Minister for Investments and Development Yerlan Khairov at the 2017 best investors awarding ceremony in Astana. The event was attended by representatives of state bodies and foreign entrepreneurs. Five companies have been recognized as the best investors of the year. Each of them represented priority sectors of the economy such as an agro-industrial complex, processing and mining and metallurgical industry, as well as pharmaceuticals and logistics.

 - The main task for us is to create a favorable climate and attract investors. That is why we adopt special programs jointly with international organizations, improve investment climate starting from the arrival in the country. You know that citizens of over 60 states enter Kazakhstan without the visa. We are improving business environment in Kazakhstan to make it easier to start a commercial activity or an enterprise. A national company provides one stop shop services to investors. The government is creating all necessary conditions to facilitate investors in Kazakhstan.
