Kazakh companies are increasing their export potential. The capital’s Electrotechnical Plant increases the supply of its products to foreign countries. Today the company has established close cooperation with Turkey and South Korea. A joint project for production of vacuum switches has been launched. One of the leading manufacturers of electrical equipment has approximately 60 types of finished products including transformer substations, high-voltage cells and switchboards.

SAKEN SHYNTASOV, SPOKESPERSON, ATAMEKEN:

- Take for example the full cycle of production at the Karagandy Metallurgical Plant, the plant extracts ore and makes steel out of it. These steel sheets are used to make substations. This is a complete cycle of local production from start to finish. This leads to higher employment and growth of the economy. Over the past 2-3 years we have seen quite positive dynamics in the production.

The Electrotechnical Plant was able to reach its production capacity almost from the moment of its launch. Within 5 years, the company's income grew by 10 times which amounts to 2 billion tenge. Today the certified products are delivered to a number of markets and industries.

ASYLKHAN MANATOV, COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR, ASTANA ELECTROTECHNICAL PLANT:

- We plan to increase the volume of export to 30% in 2017 and 2018. Now we are actively working with countries like Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia. We constantly visit exhibitions, get acquainted with consumers of these countries and we are closely working on this.

According to the enterprise, the producers will further expand to export to other destinations. The confidence in the export performance gives high quality products and a diverse range.
