Kazakhstan and Turkey intend to increase the mutual trade turnover to US$5 billion. This goal was voiced by the heads of two states in the three-year New Synergy joint economic program. According to the program, joint production and the construction of industrial zones are expected. Kazakh Consulate General in Istanbul Yerkebulan Sapiyev visited the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs as well as met with representatives of business circles. The parties discussed Kazakhstan's investment climate and state support in entrepreneurship. Turkish representatives noted Kazakhstan’s favorable business environment. They expressed their readiness to invest in Kazakhstan's mining industry.
SUKRU CENIKLI, HEAD OF FE METAL:
- The reason we have chosen Kazakhstan is that according to our research, the mining industry in your country takes third place in the world. In the first half of the year, we concluded three agreements with Kazakhstan. In particular, the Kazakh government assured us that we will receive assistance in land allocation and access to raw materials for production. Our business project has been approved. We are planning to begin construction in the near future.
