The total amount of non-cash payments in Kazakhstan in January-August totaled 114.7 billion tenge, increasing by 65% comparing with the same period in 2015. The growth is quite significant, especially considering that in the same period, there was an increase of 5% in 2015 against the previous year, Ranking.kz reports. As analysts say, a large share of payments accounts for POS-terminals and makes nearly 57% of the total amount. The second most popular type of non-cash payments are online payments that made 31% of the total transactions. The number of ATMs has increased in the country as well.
