The Government of Switzerland slightly raised its forecast for economic growth in 2016, as uncertainties, such as Britain's decision to withdraw from the European Union, didn’t become an obstacle to the country’s economic growth. According to experts of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs - Switzerland's economic growth will total 1.5% - slightly higher than 1.4%, provided in June forecast. Economic growth in 2017 is expected at 1.8%, unchanged with respect to the June estimate. The Swiss economy has been growing on average by about 1.9% over the past 10 years.
