Iraq to support oil output freeze at OPEC meeting
Iraq will fully support the initiative to freeze oil production, which will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries in Algiers. In July, the S&P Global Platts news agency reported that the OPEC countries had increased oil production to the highest level since 2008. Iraq is the second largest oil producer in OPEC after Saudi Arabia. In July, the country produced 4.3 million barrels of oil per day.
