In the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan attracted $2.7 billion of foreign and direct investment, Kapital.kz reports. The mining sector contains half of the investments. For 10 years, the gross inflows of foreign direct investments in the country amounted to $226 billion. The largest influx came from the Netherlands about $66 billion, from the U.S. $26 billion, from Switzerland $15 billion and investments from China, France, UK, Russia, Italy, Japan and so on.
