In the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan attracted $2.7 billion of foreign and direct investment, reports. The mining sector contains half of the investments. For 10 years, the gross inflows of foreign direct investments in the country amounted to $226 billion. The largest influx came from the Netherlands about $66 billion, from the U.S. $26 billion, from Switzerland $15 billion and investments from China, France, UK, Russia, Italy, Japan and so on.
