Economist Intelligence Unit has compiled a rating of cities best to live Global Liveability Study that evaluated 140 cities around the world in five categories. They evaluated such parameters as stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure; however the cost of living has not been taken into account. Top 10 is as follows. The 10th place in the ranking is given to the second largest city in Germany - Hamburg. 9 place - Helsinki. Number 8 is Auckland, New Zealand. It is the largest city in New Zealand with a population of about 1.3 million people. Next are Australian Perth, Adelaide, Canadian Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver. The capital city of Austria - Vienna is in the second place and finally Melbourne was placed on the first position.
