According to the Director of Department of regulation of agribusiness market of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture Vladimir Volik, export of grain from Russia in 2016 agricultural year could reach 40 million tons, whereas wheat export will amount to 26-30 million tons. The Ministry of Agriculture has no plans to change the purchasing price of grain in the framework of interventions. Last year, Russia exported a record 34 million tons of grain, including 24.5 million tons of wheat overtaking the United States and Canada. In 2016, the Ministry forecasts to harvest grain about 106-110 million tons. Last year, Russia harvested 104.8 million tons of grain in net weight, including 61.8 million tons of wheat.
