In April-June, net profit of China’s largest manufacturer of computers ‘Lenovo’ increased by 64% compared to the same period last year. According to the quarterly report of the company, this is due to the ‘exceeded expectations’ sales of personal computers and laptops. Net income in Q2 2016 amounted to 173 million and, for the reduction of revenues by 6% compared the same period last year. In Q2 2016, global sales of Lenovo computers decreased by 2% to 13.2 million units, while the global computer market fell by 4%.  For comparison, the company’s main competitor Apple in April-June sold nearly 4.5 million computers. The U.S. was the largest market for Lenovo, which became the source of almost a third of the company’s revenues.
